ABOUT ME
Melissa Avanzato has led two lives…
The first as a corporate worker bee brainstorming marketing concepts, writing copy, churning out proposals, and managing events/projects for powerhouse media companies such as PEOPLE and Martha Stewart.
The other (and most recent) finds her in the CT suburbs with her dashingly handsome husband and two charming school-aged boys who always listen and shun technology. Yep, she’s Mom of the Year and proud of it!
While balancing soccer mom duties (just check out the trunk of her car), she is thankful to spend her days working with companies of all sizes to communicate why they are extraordinary.
Always a listener, writer, and conversationalist, Melissa gets no greater joy than uncovering and sharing a compelling story, especially when it’s not her own.
A few more things about me…
* Words are therapeutic. Thankfully I’m a good speller and fast typer, but sadly my handwriting has suffered.
* Texting - my response time is either immediate or 1 week later. Apologies in advance for the latter.
* I emerged COVID lockdown with a Peloton and house plant obsession (some of my green babies are pictured to the right). Call me a pandemic cliche, I dare you!
* Once affectionately coined the “Fastest Dialer in Manhattan,” (and this was LONG before GrubHub!), I’ve since developed some decent chops in the kitchen.
* Pre-pandemic I was logging approximately 10,000 hours per week going to/from the soccer field. My soccer mom essentials: a good hat (appropriate for 25-85 degree weather) + sunglasses + loads of patience + first aid kit + a non-see through tumbler for keeping your (ahem) “Gatorade” fresh.
